Company Affiliation

Dennis is the Publisher of OPUS Publishing.

Domain Knowledge

Dennis is a recognized international expert in object-oriented technology. He has facilitated many technical workshops and training programs to establish the basis for interoperability between systems that must achieve a unified operational objective. Dennis uses the Universal Modeling Language (UML) for modeling the devices, the Interface Definition Language (IDL) for specifying interfaces between components, and Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1) for defining data objects to be exchanged between intelligent electronic devices.

Under contract to the Electrical Power Research Institute (EPRI), Dennis directed the developed an interoperability test and evaluation laboratory to rapidly prototype design solutions for electrical power delivery substation automation that integrates protection, control and data acquisition on the substation communication network.

Dennis is available for consulting services through OPUS Publishing to develop strategic business plans and a coherent roadmap to achieve the goals and objective with concrete measures of performance using an ‘expected value’ model for generating revenue.

Education

Bachelor of Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Iowa State University 1957

Master of Science, Aerospace Engineering, University of Southern California 1965

Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, University of Southern California 1968

Participation in International Standards Making Organizations

Dennis is very active in several international standards-making organizations, study committees and trade groups.
